Behind the name
​Marucci once produced a YouTube video highlighting a Lumbermill that manufactured all of their bats — from those used in Major League Baseball to those sold in Sporting Goods Stores. The video detailed the process: each piece of wood was evaluated for quality, shaped to precise specifications, and then directed to the appropriate level of play.
This process mirrors our business philosophy. We identify talented players, invest time in building strong relationships with them, connect them with future college options, and help develop their skills to reach their full potential. Ultimately, we guide each player toward the next level that best fits their abilities and aspirations just like how a Lumbermill manufactures and sells Wood Bats.
